Oddly enough, I was planning on asking you the first two questions you asked me, but you got there first, which is why I haven't asked you any questions. ;-)
My answers: 1. G'Kar is a character that grows through the series, and that makes a description a little more difficult. When he arrives at Babylon 5, he is angry, mistrustful, deceitful, sometimes crude, often arrogant, and consumed with hatred of the Centari. But he has the capacity to learn and grow, through it takes some terrible and tragic lessons. Ultimately he becomes about as fully realised as any sentient being can be - he learns compassion, patience, wisdom while retaining the vitality and joy in life that was visible from the beginning. He has learned to be responsible for himself and his decisions, and how to do the right thing even when it is difficult.
2. Londo is also a character that experiences much change, and evenutla growth, but the tragedy of Londo is that he learns wisdom too late for it to be of any use to him or his people. We first see him as loud, obnoxious, arrogant, decadent, deceitful, avaricious, ambitious, selfish and overfond of the pleasures of the flesh. For him, the ends justify the means, and the ends he seeks are power for himself and for his people. Over time he learns something about being truthful and compassionate. Unfortunately, by the time he discovers that power is not a worthy pursuit, he is caught in the machinations of the Shadows and has no chance to redeem himself or save his people.
3. That's an impossible question to answer, unless I evade it by saying that what I like the most about him is... him.
4. Not really. Although it's true that I've lived with cats almost all of my life, in a way there doesn't seem to be a place for a cat in my life right now. Physically, I wouldn't be able to care for one, and I would not want to put all of the responsibility for that on my partner. In terms of companionship, my partner does everything a cat does, only better. ;-)
5. Unfortunately, my mobility has taken a serious decline, so that even though the weather has been nice and going out for walks would otherwise be possible, I just can't do it. The specialist treating my leg injury prescribed three months of heavy-duty antibiotics for me in February, and unfortunately, antibiotics can seriously aggravate enivronmental sensitivities in some people. Worse, one of the drugs, Cipro, has a rare side-effect of causing inflammation and weakening of connective tissue such as tendons and the like - and of course, I developed it. After only one month on the antibiotics, I had to stop because I had reached the point where my joints were so inflamed and my tendons were so sore that I literally could barely move. Even though I've been off them now since March, my mobility has not returned to what it was before I started taking them, and the limited amount of exercise I am able to do is having no effct in terms of strengthening anything. I can get around the house with my partner's assistance, and that's about it.
